I don't think thats feasible, but when asked, I advise against pet stores. I do want to breed my gliders, for the sole purpose of obtaining 2-3 more gliders of my own for a colony. Its so much harder to get outside gliders to get along with my existing ones. So I would be upset if someone told me I could only have a breeder pair if the male was neutered. But no one should breed just to see the babies. Thats selfish. In the future I do want to become a full Breeder, and I agree with Ashjan, anyone that sells an exotic animal should force buyers to sign an agreement like his. I suggest addressing aspects of breeding in the quiz part of the agreement, like 'do you know how many babies they can have per year', 'do you know about neutering benefits and costs etc', 'what would you do with babies-how would you sell them', even if this is their first glider...they may not get their 2nd glider from you. What I would really like to see, is a exotic animal license required for anyone wanting to buy a glider, period. One local pet store in my town (a great store, but thats unusual) does this, and I applaud them. If a license for breeding is required for every pair of breeders that isn't neutered, I would agree to that as well. Thats one piece of legislation I would gladly vote for!
