I seem to agree with the temp change, but also the plant idea and here's why. Winter is cold, that means most animals are in their nests and niches trying to keep warm, right? They wont be flying around looking for food, and most plants are dead during winter cuz its so cold. Looking at this from a mature female glider perspective..Not much is available in the winter, so why have the babies then? When there isnt much food to feed them? Besides trying to stay warm during winter, it would be much easier to breed, carry the joeys in nice warm pouch and not have to feed them besides feed yourself and your mate, they eat off of what you eat. When they're ready to come out and be weaned there will be plenty of food and it wont be so hard, since the bugs will be out and plants will be alive.
