Crickets are healthier for gliders than mealworms. From all I've read on what type and how many insects to give to gliders, I've heard over and over, its 2-3 mealworms or 4-5 crickets, or a combination thereof. My Pepe loves them too, but Penny won't touch them. So she gets 2 mealworms, Pepe gets 3 crickets per night, with only the occasional mealworm. I'd definitely say keep her crickets controlled, they would eat themselves silly. Are you using 'gut food' for your crickets? : Hey all, one of Aspen's favorite foods is her crickets. She devours them instantly. It's the cutest thing when I'm holding one for her, and she's reaching out and grabbing for it, looking like she's thinking, "Just a tiny bit closer mom" (o= I was wondering though, I have them in a container (the crickets that is, not Aspen) should I put them in Aspen's cage with her? Can you feed too MANY crickets, or will she eat them til she's full, and eat the others when she's hungry again later, or the next night... Will she impulsively gobble them all up and make her self sick, or show restraint? I just want to make sure she has as many as she wants or needs, but not too many. Or should I just continue the routine we've had the last couple months,... crickets in a seperate container with me feeding two or so to her every night? I know this is a LOT of questions about crickets, but any advice would be greatly appreciated for the health and happiness of my baby girl. Thanks! AmyMichelle, and Aspen! :
