I'm afraid the little joey will be VERY luck to make it. If it isn't already too late try feeding him yourself. I had this very same thing happen to my Lucy's first set of twins. The female stayed with her in and out of the pouch but the male was pushed aside for some unknown reason. One day he was with mom and his sister and the next day he was pushed away. I kept putting him back because I assumed he was just getting "lost". By the time I realized what was happening, it was too late.
It is also interesting that her very first joey was treated the same way eventhough she was a single. So far out of three joeys, Lucy has only successfully raised one female.
I'm sure there must be some material somewhere on why this happens and what if anything can be done to help the little joeys.
I hope that you will have better luck than I did. Oh yes, the father has been with Lucy all the time and has been very attentative to the little joeys. He even stayed with the first one while she went to eat and run around. I really have no clue as to this strange occurrance.
Karen E.
