I used to get scrapes all over my back when I took my sugar gliders out. I once tried to cut their nails, but it was too hard to get them to stay still without hurting them. So, I decided to wear this old jacket (simple hooded zip up) when I take them out. That way they are used to their smell on my jacket and feel safe, any unexpected urine won't bug me, and their nails do not hurt me because the jacket is thick enough. That is just my way to deal with it. Good luck and congrats on the baby!
