OOP refers to the time they begin detaching themselves from the mothers nipple. They will still go into the pouch to nurse and when they get older stick just their heads in to nurse. Glider joeys are considered weaned we they are eating fully on their own and not nursing their mother...Like i stated for most joeys this is between 6-8 weeks oop. some take longer but 6 weeks is the absolute earliest a joey should leave its mother...and then the breeder should be absoultely sure that the glider joey is eating and drinking on it's own. there are some breeders that will try to wean joeys too soon :( this is mainly because the sooner they can get the joey away from the mom the sooner the parents will mate again.... You need to be careful when selecting a breeder. Ask for references of people who have purchased from them before and be sure that they are USDA licensed breeders.
