Sounds pretty normal to me. I think you would know it if they were really fighting with each other. It is an awful thing to watch (like my Bonita that attacks my baby Charla, she is very obviously hurting her.)

The little chirping noises are what I would consider a hello. My male does that when he plays with the females. I would imagine that they are also determine who is going to be "boss" in the cage.
