They tend to continually bite a specific area - and from the stories I have read - they don't stop there until its fatal. Noone knows what causes it. Like Virginia said, it is believed to be from loneliness &/or stress. If you do not have time of atleast 2-3 hours a day of "awake attention" (time where the glider is actually awake) I would suggest getting another one. But then here is the catch: if you don't have time for one of them - are you going to have enough time for TWO? Are you going to do two an injustice instead of just one? It has been debated on this board before what would be best. I don't think your case is as severe as the one I remember. I think two is better than one, but only if you have the monies and the necessary time to bond with the new one.. That's only my opinion... Good luck with you and yours! Jen
