I have two of each - my males have tended to bond much more quickly than the females.
Their personalities, however, will depend on each glider. It has nothing to do with gender.
As for the smell, male gliders have the obvious scent glands.Mine definitely do have a much stronger odor than the females. I do understand that neutered males are not as aromatic.
