*hugs* I know that you would like him to be your bestfriend right away, but he needs time to trust you.. TRUST is the biggest thing with these little guys. It can take up 1 year to bond (worst case senario). When you take out his pouch - is he asleep in it? Possibley place an item that smells like you in his cage. Don't try to pick him up if you can. Try instead to have a small controlled area where you can sit and watch him for a little bit. Possibley the bathroom. Let him run around you and on you. Offer him treats and talk soothingly to him. You are doing well. It is just important for him to get accustomed to being on you and around you.
