I would take him to the vet anyway it is better to be safe than sorry. About a month ago one of my gliders quit eating the way he normally did and was less active. I made him a vet appointment and I almost cancelled it because the night before he started playing and acting better. I decided to take him anyway, and it turned out he had a bladder infection. The vet gave him antibiodics and he is all better now. I was really glad I didn't cancel that appointment. Your glider sounds even sicker than mine was. I would definately get him to a vet even though he appears to be getting better a vet would know better.
