Yes, I venture to say that all SG owners have been bitten at least once. I personally have been bitten more times that I care to count.
At 2 mos. (8 weeks) she is just as scared as you are. Most importantly, she senses your fear and her defenses to up when you put your hand in the cage. She is making alot of noise to scare you, and she has succeeded. Here's where the brave part comes in, gently try to pick her up when she takes food from your hand. She isn't going to bite that hard at her age. Her little mouth isn't that big. If you're not comfortable with this, then just keep putting your hand in the cage regardless of all the noise she makes. Let her come to you.
It may take longer that you thought it would for her to trust you. As you will read in post after post, patience is the key to these little creatures. Each one has their own time table.
Read Bourbon's page on bonding. There is alot of wonderful information that will help. Just don't give up. Anyone who can handle that lizard of yours can surely handle a sweet SG.
