Subject: You need to read bourbons page! You really do need to read it. They need a diet plan...your diet doesnt sound balanced. Which leadbeaters do you use? Which glider pellets do you mean? I hope its not the briskys. You don;t need to feed any pelleted food with the leadbeaters. I know you rescued them, and are now learning. Your diet sounds close, but I would take out the pelletes(but Im not worried since you say they wont touch them). As far as bonding, we all consider Bourbon the queen of bonding. there is no bonding age. Any glider can bond at any age...some take more time and parience, but she has helped all kinds of gliders to bond. The reason they run from you is they are not yet bonded. They need to be used to your hands and arms bfore you take them to a small room. All this is on her page. If you follow it very closely...you should deffinitly see results! Good luck on the new gliders. I hope all goes well for you. I have really heard bad things about the sandpaper rubbing off the bottom of their feet. I wouldn't worry about the urine too much, because gliders do mark things. Urine is one way they do that. Mine drops pee on me a lot, esp when my bf is around. He wants me to smell like him and nothing else. Take them to a vet soon. If there is a problem they should find something. Is there any blood in the urine? They can deffinitly be wonderful pets, but they do have some very special requirements. Keep reaserching, and all should go well. Deffinitly read everything on Bourbons website..esp diets and bonding. Keep asking any questions you have...and find a vet soon. The tail is what worries me...but any time you get a new glider you need to take them to the vet to check everything is ok. Good luck!
