: why rip the heads off? and why restrict her from eating corn and leadbeaters.? The leadbeaters is nutional for her as well as the corn. I fold in frozen mixed veggies into their leadbeaters after I spoon it into their bowl. As far as the nails, you will know when they start getting long, they will start to snag on your shirt and their pouch. My baybe didn't need her first cutting till after she was a year old. I had somethings in her cage that I had taken out, a couple of weeks later I had to start clipping. I had a piece of driftwood I had removed from the river and it was real hard. it kept their nails pretty much worn down..

: Hey, I discovered conditioning perches in the bird departments. They are made of concrete and they are very durable and washable. They do cost some but the trauma of having nails clipped for both glider and parent is minimalized with these perches. My Griz has some very sharp nails but they are a lot less painful and we don't have to go through holding them down to clip them. Glider love and nibbles, Diana
