The first litter, one baby, we caught the male eating the baby before we knew it was even out of the pouch.YUCK!!! The second litter we found the male eating one and the other was so weak and dehydrated when we found it, it didn't make it. The third litter, we found the babies abandoned at the bottom of the cage, (mama took them down there). Female baby had 2 bite marks on its nose. Took them to the vet, she 4 days. He died with diareah all over his hind quarters. My female is pregnant again(the male is a real horndog). What do I do? Should I separate the male from the mama and babies? did I feed them the wrong stuff? HELP!!!!!!! I do agree with the other posts, except the one from Yeve. That wasn't nice! I don't have babies yet but Griz and Lily have been trying. Your problem is a concern for me for just that reason. I would say that you should seperate them but put them in different cages near each other and when you let them out they could play together but if he trys to mount her take her away and let them play with you apart. I know it sounds cruel but it's for the best and they still get play time with you and each other. If they can talk to and see each other they shouldn't be too lonely. You might just have to spend more time with each one. I don't think that this will hurt them for the time it takes to let her have her babies and hopefully raise them to weaning. If she does have the babies don't put the male with her at all until they are weaned though or he m,ight kill them again. You might even get him nuetered now it might change his attitude. I know you said you don't have a vet near by so you may have to do some traveling. It's just the best thing that you can do to have hime done. Hope you have some luck with this. :>} Glider love and nibbles Diana
