I am feeling the same as Mary regarding the gliders in apts. I would call them small caged pets, and just leave it at that unless he is really interested. My landlord has never had a problem with the Gliders, except for seeing them and wanting them himself!

When I was hunting for apartments a couple of months ago, the landlord's response to Sugar Gliders were... I've never heard of them eating people on the Discovery Channels, so they must be ok. (It's probably a good thing your landlord is cautious!)

They can really be great apartment animals if you care for them enough. I would stongly encourage you to pursue this matter. Best of Luck!
