Hi. I know that SGs are illegal TO OWN in California, but could you take one into California if you were just visiting there? I used to live in California; now I live in Alberta, Canada. But I go to California every summer for a couple of months, and I need to know if I could take them with me. (I don't own any SGs YET)

If the answer is no: How does it sound if I have a friend bond to them and let the friend take care of them while I'm on vacation?
