Right on Betsy! Also, I was in my local pet store (the one advertised in Teen People) and I saw the salespeople tossing a glider back and forth! Trying to be funny, (more like sick), one of the two salespeople jerked his arm away when the glider was in mid-air, sending it smashing to the floor. This was supposed to demonstrate how rough play with gliders is fun. No wonder people believe its okay to throw gliders! Herpeton, at least where I live, uses throwing them as a selling tool. Needless to say, I haven't been back. The mistreatment of these animals by pet stores is another big problem I have with that article...it said nothing about getting the babies from a breeder, or not buying from a store where they are mistreated. Other people may feel differently, but I will never throw Eos.

: :If your glider likes being thrown fine, if it doesn't fine too. Just because
: :one glider doesn't like it doesn't mean that doing it to another glider
: :that likes it is treating it like crap.

: Really?!? And if I throw my glider across the room and she doesn't like it, doesn't decide to glide, and she hits the wall and breaks her back. That's okay??
: Wake up people. This is another form of abuse. My daughter likes to run - shall I tie her behind my car to MAKE her run faster?
: If a glider decides to glide - it is it's choice.
: This is right there with the throwing a child in water so they can sink or swim. The outcome is JUST as deadly.
: My glider glides fine. I have NEVER thrown her, nor do I ever plan to.
