Can I ask why you found it necessary to repeat what I had written and then claim noone else had mentioned these points. Here is what i wrote Many people have seen this, females will steal the babies from each others pouches and eat them. Most people advise that females with babies in the pouch not be kept with other females. you will need to house teh females seperately obviously Someone else did mention your points five hours previously. I feel very slighted. Jane : I don't have a solution for you, but there is one more possibility that no one mentioned. If you knew the first was pregnant then obviously you could see the bulges in the pouch, so you probably wouldn't have overlooked the following possibility (but know it's possible in the future:) : Sometimes the dominant females steal joeys from another glider's pouch and put them in their own pouch to try and raise them. The problem is that the other glider isn't lactating, so the babies starve. The theory of natural selection comes into play here... have you been able to get a good grip on which of your girls is dominant? : I hope you can remedy this problem in the future. I wish you the best of luck! : Kim S.
