: Travis, : I am going to tell you it doesn't matter on the age of the Glider. It does matter however how dedicated you are to loving and waiting for that glider to trust you. I got my female at 6 months oop. she is as sweet and as docile as they come.. (even more). My hubby got his only 2 months oop. The time that you spend bonding and waiting for that glider to trust you will tell you how much of a bond you will have. I know of a 15 year old boy who got a 2 1/2 year old glider that was meaner than all get out. That glider turned to the boy as if they were meant to be. The boy spends a lot of time with him and the glider loves the attention.. Age as far as I am concerned doesn't matter.. Are you able and willing to commit your free time to bonding with it? That is the main question, Do you have the patience to put up with MOST people put up with when the first get a new glider. The bond that Amanda has with her glider is rare to get immediatly, it does however happen, mine also bonded immediately. You Have to decide how much of a bond that you would like to get and have and take how much time you will have bonding with it into consideration. My hubby spends evenings and weekends with his..He is his pocket pet. The bond they have is fine with what they want. They are very happy with it.. When I asked my hubby if he wanted to try to bond with a joey he said " I have my Smokey and we are just fine". So I asked him if he might want to try to get a tighter bond, he said" I have a tight Bond with Smokey". So everyones interpetation of a bond is different..You must decide for yourself..But as for your question.. I personaly don't think age is a big factor, the younger you get sometimes you also have the trama of them leaving momma.. so each one has it's own story.. I wanted to take her to work with me but you know how construction work is very rough. I thank you for the advise. Amanda speaks very highly of you.
