Please don't feel attacked, cuz that's not what anyone is trying to do. Let me just share two stories with you:

1) A few months ago there was a girl names Tanya posting on this board. She had a glider-proofed room (or rooms, I forget) and her glider Bicho played every night. She would watch TV or whatever, and let him run all around. He would come back and check on her every little bit. They were best pals. Then one day Bicho disappeared. She posted message after message, desperately trying to get ideas for where to look for him. We all tried to support her as best we could, and think of ideas. To this day, Bicho has never been found. That was in April. She swore her house was glider-proofed. We even had her looking in the VCR and she tore her couch apart, to no avail.

2) My little glider Foster was playing with me in a my hotel room when I went on vacation this summer. It was morning and he was awake with me. My mom and I were in the room, and for some reason Foster suddenly jumped on the floor just as she was about to step back from the sink. He passed away quickly, luckily. My point is that we were awake and something awful like that happened. Lord only knows what could happen if you were asleep and didn't realize your little one was there.

I know he might not have as much fun in his cage, but if I were in the same position I would let him run for a few hours while you are still awake (and maybe do work or read a book in there with him) and then put him in his cage for the night. He won't like it, but once he gets used to it it will bother him less.

Lots of good luck getting him adjusted to spending the night in the cage-

Kim S.
