I ONCE fell asleep when our gliders were out and when i woke up i was in such a panic you would not believe it. I was running around the room until i found them, in their cage safe and sound. I was lucky that time. I also thought that our room was glider proof but then there was one day where axell had left the room for only 3 mins. and Griz found an eraser. When i came into the room there was Griz chewing on it. i just about blew a gascket over that but it just goes to show that gliders are a very unpredictalbe sort and no matter how proofed their room is you never know what they will get into or hurt themselves with. As Bourbon said they are just like little children and should never be left alone and when you are asleep they ARE alone. There is the possablility of you rolling over on him and squashing him. That is really the least of the problems. Also i think she and someone else brought up their claws getting hung up on some fabric and them hurting themselves trying to get loose. That can and does happen and if you are asleep, you can't know about it to help him. It's not a matter of "are you a bad person" for asking this question it's a mater of things you might not have seen on this board or come into contact with him yet. Please know that no one here wishes you ill we only want the best for gliders and their parents. I really feel that a glider left alone in a room with hard wood floors, no drapes,no heating vents, no tiny cracks any where, and all of the electrical outlets plugged/ no wires, still could find some way to hurt itself, same as a little child. I was so frantic when our gliders were loose without supervision and i'd hate to see you go through that. Hope this helps. Glider love and nibbles, Diana
