: hello-ive had dexter

We have had Myra and Myron for over a year now. They have full run of our guest room at night. I keep sheets on the bed with a peice of plastic under it to keep pee off the mattress.

We have strung a rope all over the room about a foot below the ceiling for them to use as a hiway. Their food dishes are always in the cage to keep them used to going into the cage.

Early on Myron found a wayout of the room and managed to eat several Orchids in the living room before finding his way to our bedroom at the opposite end of the house.

Imagine my surprise when I was awakened by tiny claws on my bare skin at 3am!

Since then all of our babies (we currently have 5) have adapted to the freedom of their own room at night. They tolerate the cage at night if we have guests.

To cage or not to cage is an issue with as many opinions as there are people.

Good luck,
