Julie, first let me ask if you remember the post that you made to Bourbon about being frantic that your baby didn't like you? you were very worried about her 'cause you felt that she didn't like you, now you think that she hates you and it's been about(?) 3 weeks since you got her. What did bourbon tell you? Didn't she say to give it time and to let your glider tell you when the trust was there? Why have you ignored her advice? She really does know what she is talking about. It took my Griz a full month before he would stop crabbing when I opened his cage and he still hasn't stopped biting me when I want to pick him up or put him back in his cage, and he and I are really good friends. He knows that I'm there for him anytime he needs me and he comes to me for a treat and glides to me and even checks on me when I'm reading when he's running around. You see, even though he sometimes bites me, he knows I won't hurt him and if something scares him he runs to me for protection. Just give it TIME and give her some credit for even giving you any kind of attention, concidering how big you are and tiny she is. How would you react to a glider that was 25 feet tall and tried to put you in a cage or pocket or even tried to hold you in it's paw? I'll bet that the thought at first strikes you as kind of funny as it does me but think about it wouldn't you be scared and try to run away until you felt that it wasn't going to make you do something hurtful or try to hurt you? And, if your baby didn't know your sister why would she react differently? She barely knows you! You took her to a place with different smells and sounds and she still hasn't gotten used to all those things at your house or even you. Please be patient, she needs that from you above everything else. If you try to push her you may end up only pushing her away and that's not why you got her is it? I hope this helps. I really do!
