: : Craig,

yadda yadda yadda (you should know what was here by now)

: I suggest you read the following. By the way. Gliders
: are a snack to a cat.

Aboout cats and gliders: i have two cats, one who has sucessfully lowered the bird, snake and lizard population for the past 5 years.
But she doesn't dare go near Velcro and Mickey anymore.
All I had to do was spend a few hours teaching her not to chase them.
As for being pets, so far I've found having these two to be good for my health. They've even got me waking up at a normal morning time (7:10- chatter chatter chatter)
And about convincing your parents: here's how I did it. Mice. I raised what would be considered a "dinner mouse"
i.e. snake food. These mice are cheap, though they usually aren't handled the way a pet mouse would be. In fact, they can be down right mean. That's why I did it, to prove that I could take care, train, and tame a wild/mishandled small pet.
I worked. My third sugar glider is still in the pouch, and I will be raising it with my others.
P.S. to any one tinking about getting a sugar glider, or really any small pet, I found that raising the mice was a good experience. You learn to be really patient and understanding very quickly. If you can do that, then sugar gliders are just as easy, and fun! Besides, if you back out of the gliders, you still have a mouse you can love.
