I use baking soda & water to clean my cage. I put about 1 Tbsp baking soda in a spray bottle and fill with water. I spray this all over the cage (after taking everything out) and let dry. Then rinse off with clear water or wipe off with a damp sponge.
This works wonders for the smell.
