Subject: Scent Glands

My Mimir is unneutered. The vet says I should have him neutered if I am not going to breed. Any comments on neutering sugar gliders? Also, because he is unneutered his scent glands are active. He has one on his chest that looks red like an open wound. At first I thought it was a scratch of some sort and took him to the vet but he said its just a scent gland. I thought they only had scent glands on their heads. No book ever mentioned one on their chest area. Anyway, does anyone have a male sugar glider with the gland on his chest and does it look red? Thanks, Lillith and Mimes!
