one of my gliders lost the hair on the end of her
tail when she was a few months old, and the pink
skin turned black and shortly after started growing
thick black fur on it. she never had a problem with
her tail or hair loss again.

there have been lots of theories on this board about
tail hair loss ranging from stress, malnutrition, to
reaching maturity. i think its different for all gliders.

i would continue feeding it well, giving it a lot of love
and let it adapt to its new home on its own terms and
see what happens.
