: bonded SG owners ability to get his charge back in the cage. That is something that has never been explained to me and I am really curious!

Jade, it can vary from glider to glider and person to person. My personal thought are that you should not allow her to be out of her cage unless she is on you or your wife. I think that you were absolutely correct that chasing her down and capturing her each time is undoing her & trashing all the good stuff that you have been doing. I would offere treats thru the bars first. Then, when she comes quickly to see what you have, start offering them thru the open door. Before long she will hop onto your hand and within a day or two of this may want to come out to be with you. It is important to say her name each time you offer a treat, she will associate the word GIA with GOOD STUFF. Also, are you doing the scent thing where you put material in your clothes to put your scent on them and then place it in the nest box with her? I hope this makes sense. I have this huge 500 mile long sentence - too hard to proof read. Best of luck!
