What I did was I kept waking her up and giving her a peice of corn( her favorite)or something else like that a little earlier and earlier each day. Now she is usually up around 9pm waiting for her treats. We can then play til Midnight. It also help if you can learn to function on less the 6 hours of sleep. I find that I lose track of time when I am with her. : My Sugar Gliders hours are set in stone! They get up around midnight and go to sleep around 8 a.m. I "pouch" my babies for about 8 hours a day - 8 a.m. till about dinnertime, then I transfer them to their nest to give us both a break. My plan is then to spend about an hour or two or "play time" each evening, but I can't get the buggers to want to wake up! Last night I took out their nest and let them loose in the cage to interact with them. They both curled up and went to sleep sitting on a stick! Am I boring?! Well I am, but that's besides the point. My question is, is there any hope to create a new habit of playing around 9 p.m. every night? I have to be bright eyed for work in the morning and staying up till 2 a.m. isn't an option. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
