I have both sugar gliders and ferrets. They are both sweet animals. The ferrets like to run, play, and get into everything. They are not legal in all states and can be taken away from you. They would need to be harnessed when taken out in public for their own safety. Sugar Gliders are also not legal in all states. They are sweet little animals too. They like to jump and play and go everywhere with you. Sometimes they don't always want to stay in your pocket, so you have to be prepared to put them elsewhere when this occurs (put them in a little pet pouch). I have a harness that I would like to try on my Sugar Gliders, but have not done so yet. I love both ferrets and sugar gliders. It just depends on what you are really looking for in a pet. I think ferrets are more playful than sugar gliders so far as running and hiding all the time. Sugar gliders do like to jump, fly, and get into things too. They are both good pets. Good luck in your decision on which you get if not both. :)
