Subject: Chattering teeth....
Posted by Anno on January 29, 1999 at 12:25:31:

I have a female baby glider about 2 weeks OOP (still with her mama, of course!). Funny thing is she always chatters her teeth (like humans do when very cold, but it is quite warm in our place and I've never seen any of my other gliders doing this).
She's gained the nickname "Lady Chatterly" (LOL) because she does this almost constantly. She seems very healthy otherwise, eats well, has gained weight, is active and doesn't display any abnormalities other than the strange chatter. She did get off to a poor start and her tiny brother did not make it past 5 days OOP no matter what I did for him. (Heartbreaking, as it was the very first time in all my years I have lost a glider).
I guess I'm just worried something may be wrong or that neurological damage could have been done in that first week during her struggle for life. My vet, although great with my gliders, is clueless on this one. Does anyone here have any thoughts on this? Thanks!
