I got my glider a month ago and at first I got bit a couple of times too.
I took him out about an hour a day and anter a few bites he and I got along just fine .
I would say gust give the glider time to adjust and see how it goes.

: Hello, everyone. I am a new glider owner, and I have to admit, this is scary. She is so afraid, and I am trying to build trust--she nips and crabs, and I jump every time. I am working on the trust part, as described in this site, with baby food. Any advice is welcome.
