Well, the last time that I saw Bicho was Thursday night. It is now Sunday and he is still missing. I have torn the apartment apart. I can't believe that he is still alive after not eating for four days. I have still been putting fresh food in his cage every night and leaving fresh water in the water bottle. He does like to hide in the couch alot, but I tore it apart looking also. It is a sleeper couch, though, and it is too heavy for me to actually turn upside down.

Thank you for everyone's suggestions and support. I think I have given up hope. I am just heartsick over this. He had so much personality and was a great companion. Now I am afraid to let my baby "Charla" get down on the floor, because she is MUCH smaller than "Bicho". I'm terrified that she will get lost too. There's nothing like being paranoid. :-)

: My friend's glider got away and was hiding under the cushion in the couch. I had a mouse that got away once and I found him a year later, (in a flattened state) under the edge of my carpet. I don't know where Bicho is, but don't take ANYTHING for granted. Are there little spaces between the base and fronts of your cabinets? Did you check underneath and up inside the bottom of your couch? Look in stereo speakers that have holes, behind the computer, in the printer... does your tv have holes in the back of it? CHECK THE GARBAGE. One more thing to try: Shut everything off... even the fridge if it hums loudly, and sit in the kitchen for a little while. Listen carefully. If you don't hear him scratching around or making noise, move to the living room. Keep moving from room to room and try to listen. You know him... where does he like to go? What types of things does he like to get into? I know we'll all be keeping our fingers crossed for you. If I have any other ideas I'll let you know right away. Best of luck!!
