Tanya, I would certainly not let Charla run around if she is so small... maybe when she gets older you can begin to trust her more. I know you want to assume the worst so that the disappointment won't be so great, but he could very well still be alive after 4 days, especially if he found the garbage. Are you Positive he hasn't touched his food? Maybe try putting some of his favorite treats in there just to lure him back. Maybe try sleeping downstairs tonight? He will likely venture out in the wee hours. He seems like he's just really really mad at you for getting the baby. But when you find him, if you're careful, he'll come around. Best of luck... we're still hoping for you!
