If they are banned where I live, then the person that I talked to didn't know what he was talking about. After I said the magic words, "sugar gliders," I always get the question, "A sugar what?" My response to him was that it is a type of marsupial. Even after that, he said that it wasn't on the banned list. There is the possibility that he didn't hear me correctly, but he didn't ask me to repeat what I had said.
This is going to scare alot of people, but it is something that needs to be brought up. I have to admit that I'm scared that the man that I had talked to might have made a mistake. I'm a zoologist and know about the ecological implications. I took this into consideration before hand, but I am aware that many people don't.
