My glider Simba fractured it's tail and had to get surgery to amputate part of it's tail. Ever since that time we had to put these bandages over his tail so it can heal properly and in doing so we had to separate simba from nala (female glider). After having them try to see each other again, Simba has been doing a hissing kinda thing that he usually does when he goes to the bathroom. Anyways, when him and her come in contact, Simba latches onto her back and bites the back of her neck. I have a feeling it's an act of mating but I'm not sure. Sometimes Nala will gurgle and as if try and get him off. If you were to gently pull him off he will hold on tight and not let go. I'm worried Simba and Nala have been separated for too long (it's been like 3 or so days having separate cages side by side) or Nala is in heat. Can anyone ahed light in this situation as to why Simba is doing this? |
