Hi,

so I'm sure this question has been asked before so I apologize if it has, I just couldn't find it. I'm very new to owning one of these.

My question is when I carry my glider around while I'm at work does it mess up her sleep cycle? I like to carry her so that we bond, but I'm afraid the movment wakes her up too much. I know some say they get used to your movements, so does this mean she will eventually get used to ut and not wake up much? Ive only had her for about two weeks so I'm just a new nervous owner.

I was nervous about if she is binding to me correctly, but from what i've seen on here it takes time and sinc eit has only been two weeks I shouldn't be concerned about that. She eats out of my hand and will hang out on my shoulder when she was out, but still seems afraid of me. Doesn't really crab like she did when i first got her though. However, she loves biting my finger tips still. Guessing this means our bonding is going well though?

I'm also nervous about her getting depressed cause she is a lone glider. I plan to get another one, but dont know when and am hoping im giving her enough attention for her to not get lonely. Are there warnings signs I should look our for? I try to mess with her at night at least for two hours and I also try to carry her with me most days. Though some nights I just can stay up cause long enough to mess with her as long. Is that okay?

Last question, i notice she plays with her toys when she is by herself, but never plays when next to the kennel. Do they ever get to a point where they will play with their toys with you?

Sorry for all the silly questions. I would have done so much more research if she had not been a surprise :P

Thank you in advance for anyones help or advice!

Hello,
When I first got my gliders, i took it kind of slow and just carried the pouch around the house or just held them while sleeping. They eventually got use to me and now they sleep in my shirt most days.i don't think it bothers their sleep cycle unless there is a lot of activity or excess noise.

To answer your depression question, it just depends on the glider.the first glider I bought (Which I knew nothing about ) became depressed. He stopped eating and wouldn't come out of his hut. I got him a friend and his whole demeanor changed instantly. I do suggest getting him a friend asap, but just keep an eye on him. I have another glider that wasn't accepted into my pair and he seemed fine as long as he was with me. They're all different, but he is much happier now that he has a friend.
