I am not as creative as I used to be and they are picky and thought it was great to see some of the things on here and am hoping people will post to it for a few days or so... Last night they had: Scrambled eggs with their bml hidden in it and fresh spinach mixed in. Green beans and a little more fresh spinach. Grape halves Peaches cubed (no pits): which someone did not like since I found several tossed outside on the floor in front of the cage this morning. 1 almond sliver each for a treat GinGIn Glider USA 105 Posts Last night they had a mix of the fruits and vegies I got off the salad bar: watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, broccoli, pepper, tomato, peas, carrots, cucumber, all diced up in glider sized pieces, then some frozen mix I found with squash, cauliflower, green beans and yellow pepper. For their protein I gave cottage cheese and some mealies, a tiny bit of natural peanut butter. And I did give them a couple raisins, AND some V-8 low sodium vegie juice in their small lixit bottle, slightly watered down. Most all the cottage cheese was gone this morning, the mealies of course were GONE, and 95% of the fruits and vegies were gone as well as the vegie juice. Tonight I gave them more of the vegie/fruit mix, ground pork cooked in pure juice (apple/raspberries), slightly watered down, plain yogurt with a touch of pure fruit juice, and a couple yogurt drops. They've not woke up yet, the little farts, but they get up late these days, and stay up later in the morning raising havoc!!! Oh, and along with the fresh stuff, I keep a bowel of their staple food in there, premium baby glider diet and insectivore diet, and they nibble on that whenever they want. So I think I'm getting the hang of it and not mixing it all together seems to work better for these two than mixing. They seem to be eating it ALL better this way. And I'm not getting super creative with anything, just basic food and it seems to be working! :D Tate and Jodi Super Glider IA, USA 393 Posts tonight they had fresh apple with apple, strawberries, & banana baby food on top. fresh chicken with chicken & apple baby food on top and some lettuce mixed in. some frozen peas brocoli handed them each a bit of a dog treat also. Sweet Success for their staple apple slices in suggie bite sizes snow peas, split open and my concoction (about 2 or 3 TB boiled chicken chopped up in suggie sized bites, 1 boiled egg mushed up and 1TB strawberry yogurt. Mixed them all together and it seems to be the main attraction of their selection tonight!) We'll see how much they eat of the concoction to see if I do it again in the future. Yogurt was just to get the egg and meat to stick together. mccubbins7 Face Hugger USA 681 Posts MINE 2 HAD... CHOPPED UP WATERMELON, APPLE, BANANA, AND GRAPES. THERE PELLETS AS USUALL. I guess it fits. This one is a little old but thanks to whoever for bumping it up. I gave me some good new/old ideas. From the other thread (so its not original) Well I think mine get leftovers from last night. Here is a funny story. Mine do not care for eggs much. I have been told thats a good source of protein and I try to give it to them to mix up the meals. Last night I mixed spinach with eggs. Dont sound to bad yet. I could eat that. Friday I picked up dried meal worms at the pet store. I was actually going for live but they were out of stock until tomorrow. I picked up a pack because they havent had them for awhile. SOOOOOO I mixed them in with the little omelet I was making. I am a taster when I am cooking. I think that you have to be for your food to taste good to the consumers of that meal. Anyway I have this concoction all warming up in the microwave and I stir it and to my lips the spoon goes. I almost licked it. UGH They are also going to get some fruits (veggies are in with the eggs). Welcome to the Wonderful World of Gliders. And DON'T lick the spoon.
