But how sturdy is the lid, that is actually now the bottom of the kitchen? Do those latch? I'd be worried about extra weight causing the lid to fall. Have you tested this with your gliders? Do they like it? Does it swing and cause a little anxiety..some gliders are skittish...

I have used mine. I took the photo after the kids had a whole night... they love it and actually had thought about all this BEFORE I made mine!
Mine is much sturdier than the one that was previously marketed on the classifieds! That is what took me sooooo long to get one that hung! I dont want any harm to mine or others. IF you make sure it is latched... it seems quite strong.
As to the swing... It is positioned in the back corner... and has a "Catch" to keep it from swinging. Only downfall on that is I have to move my cage to get it out for cleaning!
