Sure. Just amke sure they are not too big for the container you choose for your kitchen. Like let there be enough room for the gliders to sit on the edge of the feeders without hitting their heads on the kitchen ceiling

tl;dr

For punching smaller holes for hanging:

http://www.amazon.com/eToolscity-Leather-Hole-Punch-Tool/dp/B0002T87FE

There are a lot of different kinds out there. Try searching with the keywords: star punch, spur punch, hole punch, and/or some combination of those.

*I used a similar hole punch on the lip of one of those thin disposable plastic containers, you'd definitely want to use a drill for the harder ones or a hard to reach area.

I just found this thread and I LOVE the cake carrier kitchen, I saw that some have asked where you got those feeder dishes but I didnt see a response. I would like to make one of these myself but have the same question, where did you find those dishes?

If you need to make holes in plastic a great way of doing it is using a nail and heat the end with a match or lighter and it burns right through leaving a smooth perfect hole.
Here is a pic of my glider kitchen.

They are just plastic shoe boxes. WalMart had them for 98cents and they are where all the platic bins are.

My girls do use their kitchens and I just use the plastic food storage containers (glad, ziplock) that are deep enough for the gliders to eat from their dishes. I cut holes with scissors and knives, it's rough, so I used emory boards really good to soften edges. It's not real attractive, I may try the lighter thing around the door and see if that looks better. I have 4 kitchens, 2-round, I use for daytime with a bowl for pellets for daytime snacking, (I may switch out for some cheerios or something some days) I don't put much in there so they'll be hungry for dinner in the evenings. The evening kitchens are rectangular, they give a little more space for 2 dishes, and my 2 girls have been eating in them together just fine. I wouldn't mind the evening kitchen to be a little bigger, but not too much bigger. My girls do potty on and in their kitchens, and sometimes in their food dishes, but it does help contain the food mess.
