ok, so I knew I didn't have a whole lot for my babies, but this is just ridiculous I have only had suggies since April but apparently our cage is bare. And, ours seems to be the only hand made one and not store bought. Anyways... here is ours.

By your question I'm guessing you got your baby(ies) from PP.
They told me not to get a regular cage because the bars would cut their paws, that's why they sell the small checkered cage as you put it.

Mine have no problem with a "regular" cage and IMO the small size of a PP cage will do more damage in the long run than the bars of a real cage. And if you look on their website, they sell a "normal" cage that they suggest you get from them because "it's medical grade metal." Upon more research, I found that there is no such thing.

I don't know when I'll be able to finally get a pair of gliders, but I would love to have a cage like the one angelmom posted! It's gorgeous. Are those the only doors it has? How big is it?

It's 72'ish inches tall including the base. I think 18 inches deep and 30 or so inches wide. You missed the clearance of these cages on petsupplies.com several months ago. They were going for $70 plus shipping.

It's not fully decorated. This was taken the day we got it. I only have one rescue glider. #2 should be here in November. Next year, I will get the large Excel cage, the deep one. But I am saving up for it. I HAD to get an affordable cage, because he was in, like, a hampster cage, and I had to act quick. In order to afford his food, toys, and cage, I had to get one thats only 40 inches tall, 32 wide, and 20 deep. but its huge compared to what he had.

Heres some of the new stuff I have put in.

there are alot of people on here that make them :) I use viciousencounters for all my fleece. The dollar store has lots of stuff like army men. Most things that are safe for a baby are safe for your babies. Dont buy anything with a rope or anything you might think their nails will get caught on. Barrels of monkeys are a big hit too as well as ball pits made with craft pom pom balls

I make the majority of my stuff. If you can sew, you can make pouches, hammocks ect. It's really easy.

<br />I have 3 colonies so 3 cages. Each cage has 2 side mounted stealth wheels and 3-4 sections of ferret tunnels hung from the top of the cage. The other toys etc are rotated now and then from cage to cage on toy cleaning day.
