This purpose of this discussion did not seem to be to console your friend, but as a warning about grapes. The ongoing discussion was about the validity of the warning, and I'm sorry if you think the memory of your friends pets were trampled in the process. I don't think that was anyones intentions.

hmmm. my chihuahua sarge has been eating grapes since he was a baby (weird dog loves the fruit) and just this past year he got pancreatitis. i dont think grapes are to blame but hes been in perfect health until now. we soon found an article that grapes and some other fruits are horrilble for dogs. just saying what i know. i never knew grapes were bad for gliders till now

I just want to say I completely agree. I do understand your compassion of concern for all involved. I would have posted this as well. Please don't take offense. You SHOULD post concerns like this.

my vet is aware of it as well in cats and dogs, but the only thing he sees in gliders is over supplimenting them with vit.'s. and people having their gliders on poor diets.
moorie i really dont think you should take this personal. We arent attacking you,or your friend as i have stated many times. we dont think its funny. we are just stating facts just as you are. I think mel was funny, not the topic. If thats what you were refering too.
thanks for the info on 2 more skunks dying within hours of eating grapes. One day maybe they will figure out the actual cause.
