Australian Wombaroo Diet abbreviated as AWD was formulated by Wombaroo Food Products and has reportedly been fed to captive gliders in Australia for almost 30 years.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup (25g) Wombaroo High Protein Supplement Powder™

1/3 cup (75ml) Warm or Room temperature water-preferably bottled

Mix until all the powder is dissolved (liquid should be a manila/vanilla color)

For breeding or growing sugar gliders increase the amount of Wombaroo HPS™ by 50% (so 5/8 cup OR ½ cup + 2 TBS OR 10 TBS)*

This will feed about 24 sugar gliders/night; Only refrigerate for 24 hours then throw excess out OR freeze and thaw as needed for multiple nights usage.*

For 1 Sugar Glider per night.

1. 15 grams fruit & 5 grams vegetables* with 2 tsp of Womabroo HPS™ poured over it 2. 1 level tsp of regular yogurt, any flavor** 3. 1g of mealworms, crickets, or other invertebrates

*You can also feed 20g of fruit for 4 nights a week then 20g of vegetables 3 nights a week. You will still pour 2 tsp on Wombaroo HPS™ over it per night.

**Until Small Carnivore Food™ becomes available in the US; Exotic Nutrition’s version is NOT the same.

VARIETY ON FRUITS & VEGETABLES IS KEY PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK SAFE AND UNSAFE FOOD LISTS BEFORE FEEDING.

Notes of interest:

Fruits and Vegetables with HPS Solution make up 90% of the diet

Small Carnivore Food/Yogurt Makes up 7% of the diet

Live Food (mealworms, crickets, etc) make up 3% of the diet

The Ca/Ph Ratio is 1.5/1 which is what they recommend over a 2:1 ratio

It is also recommended to provide blossom and foliage (make sure it’s safe); It’s highly recommended to provide native Australian blossoms and foliage such as eucalyptus and acacia.

They recommend sugar gliders foraging for their food (this can easily be done with the live food and blossoms and foliage) as this is natural for them and stimulates cognitive stimulation and growth.
