Today I cleaned the girl's cage all by myself today. Usually I have help, but I didn't today. I managed to pull a muscle in my back and neck. Almost gauged a whole in the wall trying to put the darn thing back onto the stand. i have to say that it is alot of work for one person. It didn't help that I woke up late, and that put alot of pressure to get it all done before it's feeding time. I am exhausted and I still have to study for my quiz and finish my homework...and don't even get me started on my kitchen! :/

The past couple days I have been playing my girls and I noticed that they were not acting like themselves. Usually when they are out both are rambunctious and always managed to run and climb on me. This week not so much. It was almost like they were afraid of me. I couldn't figure it out and I got worried. But today....
Those two goofballs were not afraid of me, but I "think" that they were afraid of my sock monkey slippers. When they both were out they hardly came by me, they would not go near my feet or legs. That got me thinking: the darn slippers! To prove my theory I put on a different pair of slippers and they were all over them, up my legs, all over me...yep. My fuzzies didn't like my sock monkey slippers! LIL goofs!

So tonite i finally did tent time. i was wary for a few days cause both my girls have runny poop from the meds. It's been a while since we've gone in the tent since I usually let them run around downstairs supervised. Anyways tent time was fun and they both enjoyed jumping and chewing on my notebook and textbook. ha! My pen was attacked by both.
But when it was time for them to go back in the cage both lil boogers did not want to go back into the pouch. Zoe would go in just find, then pop out and the Meiko ran away from me and wouldn't let touch her. I tried treats..nothing...I tried mealies...nothing. To make long story short i got so frustrated that I literally yelled. Very loud. I didn't mean to, but I became extremely frustrated with both. I scared the crap outta both of them. Zoe ran off and hid on my back and Meiko looked at me not moving. I tried again to get them both in the pouch. More scampering and they both tore up my arms so bad it burns bad (they just their nails trimmed). Finally after 30 minutes i got them in the pouch and into the cage.
I'm upset that i yelled at them and I feel horrible. I'm upset that I probably screwed up the thin bonding already accomplished. One just tolerates me and the other hates me. or they both do.
I'm a bad mom.

Around 10pm tonite (saturday) I woke up from my nap (snoozed off while watching tv for a few hours)and questioned why my house is so cold. I was feeling cold while laying on the couch beforehand. So I went downstairs into the laundry room and took a look at my furnace. To my surprise the pilot light was out. Confused and worried since the house temp dropped from 70 degrees to 63 degrees and continued to drop. i called my ex and he came over to relight the pilot since I didn't know how. In the meantime I already had my suggies in their pouch and under the blanket that i had wrapped around me to keep them warm til the heat got back on. It took a lil while, but got it back on. They did have lots of blankies but when I put my hand in the pouch, it was cold in there.
I am so lucky that I was home and didn't go anywhere. It would of been so bad. Still have no idea why and how it happened...but I am grateful that I had someone to help and everything is ok.

I am starting to think that I will never be bonded to my babies...doing everything I possibly can, and yet nothing. Sigh...maybe I should stop trying, and just do what i have been doing everyday.I love them so much...

Just a few minutes ago I'm sitting in front of my computer, I heard a pack of coyotes outside barking. Sounded like there were 5 or 6 of them barking at once. Keep in mind I'm in the north burbs of Chicago. They were so loud that I could hear them clearly with the windows closed. I ran to the window and opened it a bit to listen which direction it was coming from because it was loud and sounded close. Too close! I heard one of my girls going nuts in the cage, and I ran to see what was going on. One was in the pouch and the one frozen (she was the one tearing through the cage before I got there)because the coyote barks freaked her out.Pretty sure the other one ducked for cover into the pouch. Poor babies! A few minutes later she was normal again, begging for treats or wanting out to explore.

OK. tent time was a lil nuts. The girls were on full speed tonite...running about, jumping climbing.Zoe kept biting my toes then would run off. I wish she would stop biting me. But she would do the same with B too....
I think they both like him better than me whenever he is over. :( I getit can take a long time to bond, but I feel like I take a few steps forward and the end up it goes all in reverse.

Tonite's playtime in the tent I noticed that there was a poop from Zoe (I think)that was reddish orange in color and kinda mushy. I don't know if it is diarrhea or something else? I gave them peppers (red, green) tonite with their dinner..could it be from that? That was the only one I saw in the tent and didn't see more in the cage...yet. Help?

Oh how much I love my girls! They are so funny and have so different personalities. Every time I take their pouch out during the day and peek in I see two little face looking back at me. I smile every time! Tent time is a blast...Both jumping and climbing all over me. It's like they have transformed into gliding bouncing ping pong balls! Those two are the best that ever happened to me, and as much frustration they give me, its worth it! Yes,I am still bonding with them and the process is SSLLLLOOOWWW....i am patient. I spoil them rotten and they deserve it. They are my kids and the joy they give me is unexplainable.
