May 5, 2017 ANSWERS PLEASE IM A NEW OWNER Posted by: JayyyyFor a diet I gave them this. First I mixed a medium amount of orange juice with 3 tablespoons of yogurt. Then I put some calcium and berries in there. I mixed it up and spoon it about 4 times on to a plate and gave them some chicken and tomato's. Is this to much, unhealthy, or to sugary for my gliders? If it is can you give me an easy recipe.
May 4, 2017 Help please!! Posted by: Kelcie I need help. Sorry this is a lot of information but I have done all the reading I can and need more direct answers. I have two neutered boys (owned for a year and a half), and two females (owned for about a month). I admit I was not a very good glider mom with the boys from for the time I've owned them. They were very difficult and almost aggressive. I attempted bonding in a pouch and was unsuccessful. So during the year and a half I upgraded their cage to a large one and was always buying them new additions for the cage to keep things fresh. They do know who I am will take treats from me even let me pet them but as soon as I try and pick them up they back away or if I'm letting them smell me they will begin to lick and eventually bite. I'm trying to not pull away but is difficult to stop that reaction. After getting the females we left them separate for the first week to acclimate along with switching items in both cages. When it came time to introduce I put them in a nuteral area and seemed to go fine. We combined the girls large cage with the boys larger cage and made glider mansion. After the first few days together my smaller male and female have been getting into fights where they crab and lunge at each other from across the cage. In the last couple weeks I have been making a valid effort to be using a bonding pouch and scarf along with taking them with me on small errands, doing chores and watching tv. I think that's enough for his entry but there is more...... May 3, 2017 new to this site Posted by: Blossom15Im new to this site I have 1 glider who is almost 1 yr. (I have Rep-Cal for my vitamin supplement.) May 2, 2017 Does touching a sugar outside of its pouch scare it? Posted by: JayyyyMy sugar gliders crab when I touch them outside of the pouch. Is this because they don't know what is touching them or are they pouch protective? (I am not fully bonded with them yet.) Also what is an easy way to bond with them?[size=5] May 2, 2017 breeding Posted by: ashlynnqI am looking for a male SG that can breed with my SG... I am not breeding until I have everything I need, but I just want to have a source ready... I can pay the amount needed or can give one of the babies depending on how many there are. I live in Buckley WA :) May 2, 2017 Breeding Posted by: ashlynnqI would like to breed my sugar glider, Sophie , she is about one year old and I would like to know if there is anything important to know about it... Things like do I need a vet, do they need to be away form other gliders, etc. Any thoughts? Thanks May 1, 2017 Shaking, Crabbing, Still Posted by: JayyyyMy sugar glider is very still and is chirping. Not a whole lot though. I've been wondering why it's been twitching in its pouch alot. Even when I try to touch them from the outside of the pouch they crab. What is wrong? May 1, 2017 Adopting Posted by: Sami484I am adopting a male sugar glider. He is 3 years old and has always been alone. Should I wait to get him a buddy until he settled in? Or should I find a buddy right away. His original owner couldn't take him with her and she didn't ever had a buddy with him. He is also never seen a vet or is not neutered. My boyfriend has 3 sugar gliders of his own. Apr 27, 2017 help Posted by: BlessednblendedI have a female glider and I sold the male about 7 months ago she has been acting fine about 3 months after he left she had a joey and I helped her with him I did not want to keep male with her so I found him a home she was fine with that but I think she is nesting and going to have another one....is that possible? And if so how long can they hold sperm? Hope this one is a female so I can keep it...I have read so much about people saying don't split them up or you have to have more then one I don't know if its mine but she loves being the only one I play with her and keep her with me......and she was with that male for 1 year but I could tell she was unhappy we I bought them she kept digging in her neck and I know that is what they do to breed but she had a hole....I thought it would be better to split them and get a female but she has been acting fine...
