Hi -

I have a neutered male approximately 8 months old. I just
got a new baby female this weekend.

I'm sorry to be covering old ground, but, I need advice on
the best way to introduce them.

I have my new little girl in a separate cage, in the same
room and plan to keep it that way until she settles in. Once
she becomes comfortable, I plan to start switching their
blankets and very slowly let them start playing together.

1. Should I keep them separate for a predetermined amount
of time just to make sure she doesn't give him some kind
of sickness?

2. Are there any other things I should be doing, to ensure
they will become fast friends?

3. How long does it usually take before a new pair gets used to
each other?

Any advice would be appreciated!
