I asked this not long ago...you might scroll down a ways...There were generally 2 schools of though. Gliders can hiss because they are constipated, so be sure that is not the case because it is dangerous and painful. Others, myself included, notice that their gliders seem to be saying "Come here!" Mine hisses when I set her down and walk away, when the cat is nearby and I'm not (ex: peeking through her cage) and if she gets stuck in her roller ball. I'd like to hear anyone else's thoughts, too. Eos does this all the time, and has recently started hissing while she is sitting on me if she thinks she isn't getting enough attention.

: Does anyone know what hissing means? Is it a dominince thing, or mabye just a greeting?
