I'd like to hear anyone else's thoughts, too. Eos does this all the time, and has recently started hissing while she is sitting on me if she thinks she isn't getting enough attention.

Mine hiss when relieving themselves but also the mother
will do this when she is scolding her babies. I use this
method on mine when he nips me a little to hard. It works
too.
