Thank you, everyone, for your input and advice. It's very
encouraging to find I'm not trying to pave new roads when I
have another living creature that I want to TAKE CARE OF,
not impress.

Firstly, let me clear up a few details..
I do not know the exact age of my glider. Maggie came to us
a week ago and we were told she had been weaned from her mother
just that morning. She is much smaller than the glider we once
saw in a pet store. He was male, however, and at least a year
old. Maggie's tail was not fluffy yet when she came home with
us, but has noticably filled out since last week. =)
We've been handling her constantly and feeding her whenever she
seems alert. Perhaps we should regiment a schedule for feeding
and play time, but we have been concerned more with IF she's
eating, rather than WHEN.
We ordered many supplies for our little Maggie long before we
saw her. In anticipation of buying a glider, we ordered a wodent
wheel and a bonding pouch. She has a comically oversized cage for
being so small.. several ladders, branches, shelves, a nesting box,
water bottle, food dish, etc.
We have been doing research on gliders for several months now and
suddenly it seems we are feeling our way blind again.
We're going out for Leadbeater's and suppliments today.

In regards to play time, we take her out of her cage at around
five in the afternoon and she'll stay with us until around 6-8am.
Most of this time is spent sleeping deeply or squinting bewildered
at a grape we put under her nose to wake her up. I've put her in
her cage to let her explore while I'm there to comfort her if she
doesn't like something. She generally looks for a place to hide
and will sit, alert and intense, if she can't find someplace.
She is scared, I think. =(

I've probably left out countless details, but your replies have
already given us new insight. Thank you again.

Wesley, Gabrielle and our Maggie
